Abbott hospital plan under fire
Handing control of hospitals to local communities will not solve the nation's health care problems and plans by the coalition to do so is little more than playing politics. This has been the overwhelming view of health reform advocates on Opposition leader Tony Abbott's announcement that if the coalition wins the next election Queensland and NSW public hospitals will be run by local boards.
