‘Your Pain Matters ’: Victoria launches Women’s Pain Standard
The Standard aims to improve how healthcare providers recognise, assess and respond to pain experienced by women, girls and gender-diverse people
In an Australian-first, the Victorian government has launched a Women’s Pain Standard, aimed at tackling medical bias and improving health service responses to women’s pain after a landmark inquiry revealed widespread experiences of dismissal, delayed diagnosis and inadequate treatment.
