IRC finds NSW nurses undervalued, orders historic pay rise

The Commission warned the pay rise will need to be debt‑funded, adding pressure to the state budget

Tens of thousands of nurses and midwives in New South Wales will receive their largest pay rise in more than two decades after the state’s Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) handed down a landmark ruling finding the professions had been historically undervalued.
