Expanding same day surgery list to free up 600 beds in NSW hospitals
Eligible surgeries include bunion removal, elective removal of the appendix and/or haemorrhoids, and rotator cuff and knee ligament repairs
An additional 14 surgical procedures are being added to the NSW government’s list of same day surgeries that allow people to recover at home rather than in hospital, in a bid to free up hospital beds across the state.
